In November 2024, I went to see the Unicorn Gundam in Odaiba, Tokyo.
This is the second Gundam to be exhibited at Odaiba. The first was the RX-78-2 Gundam, which I had come to see at the time. After some time had passed, it was replaced by the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam.
At first, I wasn’t particularly interested in Unicorn Gundam, but after seeing the film on Amazon Prime Video, my interest was piqued, and I invited my family to come and see it.
The highlight of the Unicorn Gundam is its transformation. You can enjoy watching it transform from Unicorn Mode to Destroy Mode. At night, there was an event where images were projected onto the large monitors and store walls of the LaLaport behind it, and the transformation took place with sound.
My two children were also excited and watched it with great enthusiasm even though they had been outside from morning to night. As a result, I will be going to see the Nu Gundam in Fukuoka Prefecture in January 2025.

This Gundam is so detailed that it’s impressive even when you see it up close. I like the photo of the back lit up at night. The backpack design and the lights on the back are really cool!
